today ...

ok, this pic wasn't taken today ... it was taken on the first friday of the semester ... before lunch, before we watched sherlock holmes at JP ... it's a picture of our reflections off the ceiling of the elevator =)

*ok, enough digressing ... back to the topic ... today ...*


clean up! ishimura? brownies, brownie cake? icing? m&ms??

well ... those key words would sum-up today ....

spent an hour or so this morning cleaning up my room ... then proceeded to bake a tray of walnut double choc (seems like this is the latest variant) brownies ...

butter -115gm
sugar - 200gm
vanilla - 5gm (?) - abt 1 tsp
eggs - 2 (100gm odd)
flour - 60gm
baking powder - a pinch
cocoa powder - 30gms (argh .. i'm running out of this)
choc chips - a handful
walnuts - 7-8 pieces

while i had the first tray in the oven ... with the clock ticking ... i started mixing the 2nd batch, for celestine's cake-shaped brownie ...and ... low and behold ...

i ran out of white sugar ...

time check ... 16mins ...

alright ... grabbed my wallet, keys, handphone ... and hurried over to Shop-n-save ... bought 1kg of fine grain sugar and hurried back ...

time check ... 7 mins ... alright ... that didn't take very long ... managed to put the 2nd batch together in the cake pan before the first tray was done ... so ... just took one tray out and put the cake pan in ...

-some 30mins passed-

and just as the timer sounded and i took the cake pan out of the oven ... andrea & sheryl called to say they had arrived at northpoint ...

took a quick shower and went to meet them for lunch at ishimura ... and ...horror of all horrors! ... ishimura doesn't have anything vegetarian anymore!!! T.T .. had to settle for ...

chicken katsu curry omurice ... with the chicken on a separate dish ... so i had ... omurice with curry, 2 pieces of carrot and potato in the curry ... quite pityful ...

headed to my place to study ... and decorate the cake-shaped brownie ... with icing and mini m&ms ... spent the rest of the time working on DCM and DCS ... then took some photos with photobooth =)



yes, this is the cake-shaped brownie ... amanda insisted that we write "Happy Birthday Celestine" but mirror image ... i didn't want to try writing the whole name, celestine, cos there are too many letters for a small cake-shaped brownie ... so ... she has to settle for "yppah yadhtrib tselec"
